A Nice Holiday Weekend

Anyone else enjoying the summer?

Anyone else hating the heat?

Yeah, I've been doing a lot of indoor activities lately. I've been making good on my desire to learn to cook more things. Just the other day I made myself a steak sandwich. It turned out alright. Volunteering at the Pet Resource Center is also quite fun as well.

Also, seems we're getting two holidays back to back this weekend. One of them being quite recently instated as a federal holiday.

Also, Happy Father's Day everyone. Can't say I do much to celebrate it but I have been looking at Father's Day gift ideas for no reason (I've been separated from my father so I have no way of knowing where he is or how to send him anything).

I'm also trying to find a new show to watch. I'm just haven't started looking yet. There have been lots of distractions in my life. Partially the fact that I own two birds and they are a handful at times. They really like attention!

Also, I tried a new restaurant this week. It's called Sarku Japan, located in Oak Park Mall and their teriyaki chicken was terrific! I'd definitely come back there some time. Give it a try if you haven't been there before.
